Would you like to become part of our volunteer team?
As a volunteer, you become part of our lifesaving team, and you are donating one of the most valuable commodities, your time.
We are currently offering orientation twice a month, the first Thursday and last Sunday of each month at 11:00am, orientation will occur onsite at 9700 Uva Drive, Redwood Valley, CA 95470.
Volunteer opportunities include: office work, general cleaning tasks, grounds maintenance, construction, animal socialization, grooming, dog walking, fostering, and transportation for veterinary appointments.
The animals in our care depend on volunteers, time spent with them improves their lives while they wait for their forever home.
Please consider giving some of your time to help the animals at HSIMC and ensure we can continue on our mission to save as many lives as possible.
You must be at least 18 years old to participate in the volunteer program. Anyone under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian at all times.

We Need Your Help, Fostering Save Lives!
You are one of the most valuable assets a shelter can have. We are always looking for volunteers to open up their homes and hearts and foster an animal in need.
Become a member of our dedicated foster team of volunteers and help HSIMC save more lives!
Fostering means you are helping animals in need, to give them the best possible outcome, all in the comfort of your own home.
No foster experience necessary, we give you the information, guidance and support you need.
Opportunities include bottle babies, kittens, puppies, adult dogs and cats as well as special needs animals. We would love to have you on our foster team!
