Browse our Adoptable Dog or Adoptable Cat pages to see who is currently available for adoption.
Every animal’s profile includes an adoption application—just click on their photo to learn more and submit an application online. You can also visit us during open hours to meet them in person and complete an application on-site.
We review all applications carefully to help match each pet with the right family. Once you’ve found “the one” and decide to make the lifelong commitment, we’ll guide you through the final steps so you can bring your new family member home.
Our support doesn’t end when you leave the shelter. We’re here to help you and your pet transition smoothly into their new life together. You can call or email us anytime with questions—we’re always happy to help.
At adoption, you’ll receive a folder with your pet’s medical records, history, and helpful tips on welcoming them into their forever home.
Email HSIMC for more details - info@hsimc.org
We also have our Adoptions by Pet Guardian pets, part of HSIMC's pet rehoming service to keep animals in homes and out of the shelter.
HSIMC’s Foster-to-Adopt (FTA) program allows approved adopters to take home an animal that is not yet spayed or neutered, while we complete their required medical care. This program helps animals move into loving homes sooner while ensuring they still receive the veterinary services they need prior to final adoption.
When you Foster to Adopt, you are committing to adopt the animal once their medical requirements are complete. During this time, HSIMC maintains ownership until the adoption is finalized.
As part of the program:
Foster to Adopt may be a good fit if you:
If you are interested in Foster to Adopt, our adoption team will help determine if the animal you are interested in qualifies and review the program requirements with you.
