Due to the high volume of surrender requests we have received, we are temporarily unable to accept new surrender applications while we work through our existing requests.
We understand how difficult the decision to rehome a pet can be and appreciate your patience and understanding as our team works to assist as many animals and families as possible.
In the meantime, we encourage those seeking rehoming assistance to utilize our Adoption By Pet Guardian platform or explore our list of additional rescue organizations and rehoming resources which can be found under the Community Support menu.

Humane Society for Inland Mendocino County understands there are many reasons owners sometimes find themselves in a situation where they are no longer able to care for their pet and need to surrender or rehome.
We understand this decision can be difficult and emotional for the both the pet and owner. Regardless of the reason for surrender, we are here to help you through the process.
It is very important we ensure any pet taken into our care will have a successful outcome and since you know your pet best, the information you provide will help us understand the needs of your pet and determine whether or not we are able to take them into our care.
