Bean is a good boi!

A Christmas Moose named Pickles!

A Christmas Moose named Pickles!

I am moving out of the country, so I need to find a new home for Bean. His original name when sent to HSIMC was Oreo, they called him Reo, and we changed his name to Bean when we adopted him. I believe Bean is a Daschund/Rat Terrier mix, possibly with some Chihuahua and Jack Russel terrier mixed in. He is 17 pounds and eight years old (we have had him for two years), neutered, and up to date on all shots. While he is not trained to do tricks, he understands the basics like sit and stay. He warms up quickly to everyone. He gets along well with other dogs and cats, and he is a mild soul, so he will defer to other animals. The ideal home for him would include a yard to run around in, other animals to keep him company, and perhaps a human has plenty of time for him. Bean is a good dog, he has been happy and comfortable for the last two years, and he is the perfect size for a senior or anyone who cannot have a large dog. I would love to help you meet Bean!

A Christmas Moose named Pickles!

Pickles is an 8 month old silly, loving, energetic, good boy. He is wonderful with our baby (1 yr 3mth) our cats and other dog (Frenchie). He’s incredibly smart and loyal. He’s a big boy. Weighing in at roughly 90 lbs and nearly hip high on me (5’7”). He needs a lot of entertainment and exercise. He’s learning not to pull on his leash, sit, lay down, leave it, come, down and sometimes stays. He is great in the car but refuses to load up himself. So remember, lift with your legs. He’s an incredible doggo, we just aren’t active enough to keep him entertained. Had his genetics done is results are: 31% American pittie 16% Border Collie 16% Cane Corso 12% Lab 11%German Shepherd 9% Siberian Husky 5% Eurasier

Akita pups in need of a home!

Hello good morning my name is Nancy Trueblood for the last four months. I’ve tried to find homes for my two Akita pups. They will be two years old December 21. I have given all their shots to them. I recently moved from 86 acres from Westport to Willits, because of job transfer where I was hoping I could move with them, however where I move to I was unable to move with my dogs. I’ve currently kept them in a kennel for the last three months, which is not humane thing to do. I feed them on a regular basis I clean their kennel weekly. I work two jobs and I currently take care of five grandchildren. I’m in such desperate need to find a good home to them. I’ve tried social media, I've tried all local rescues, I  even sat out in front of the store to try to find homes for my two dogs. I would greatly appreciate it if you could help me with finding either a rescue home for them or a place for them to go I would truly truly appreciate it. Thank you!

Zuri!

Zuri is a 6 year old spayed pit bull looking for a forever home. Her family moved to Hawaii and did not take her along with. Zuri is current on her Rabies, parvo, and lepto vaccines. She is current on heartworm/flea/tick prevention. Zuri had heartworm and Lyme disease when I got her 3 months ago and has been treated for both. Her heartworm treatment took 3 months to complete which is why she is only now up for rehoming from me. Zuri is friendly with cats, chickens, and most other dogs. She has gotten along with all but one dog that I’ve had her around (8 dogs she got along with, 1 she did not). The did she did not get along with was a female dog who does have a history of being aggressive to her old housemate but since removing that housemate from the home she had done well with other dogs so I am not sure what the discrepancy was between her and Zuri. Zuri does have some arthritis so she gets joint chews once a day with her breakfast and fish oil at night. She also has environmental allergies which are managed with cytopoint injections from the vet. Otherwise she is a sweet, healthy girl. Zuri is perfectly house trained. She does not beg, does not get on furniture, does not chew/destroy things, she does not get in the trash, she doesn’t jump on you, and she’s potty trained. Zuri is also leash trained and excellent in public. She travels well, she has excellent manners at restaurants and inside stores. She is good on hikes and walks. She does not drag you on a leash or pull on you at all. Zuri LOVES people. If there was one word to use to describe her, it would be polite. She is very very affectionate, she loves to be pet and loved. She is a very nice, well behaved, mellow girl. Zuri is a very sweet dog who deserves a good loving home. I want her to go to someone who will not cut corners on her care and will continue giving her joint chews, fish oil, her heartworm/flea/tick prevention, and the cytopoint injections as needed. If you feel like you can offer Zuri the life she deserves or are interested in learning more about her, feel free to reach out to me via email, text, or call and leave a voicemail and I’ll call you back.

Beautiful and Loving Adventure Dog Awaits You!

Beautiful and Loving Adventure Dog Awaits You!

Hello Pawla is a Covelo mutt who will turn 3yrs old in April 2026. She is healthy and up to date on her shots. She is very intelligent and loving. She is also very protective and and has lots of energy. She needs space to run and would be a wonderful ranch or adventure dog. She displays worker dog qualities and will definitely make a great pet for someone with space and an active lifestyle. She loves the beach, river and any puddle she can find. Great with other male and smaller dogs. She needs to find a new home with loving parents where she has space to run and allow her husky like energy to be expressed.

Punkin Baby!

Roxy needs a home!

Selvi needs a home

This cute boy is a large breed, cane corso/lab mix. He is so good with kids but often forgets his size! He has allergies and is on grain free food. He has chronic ear infections due to getting ahold of food with grain. He is super sweet, somewhat house trained, 100% crate trained. Will not go to the bathroom in his crate unless you ignore his whines letting you know he needs to go out. He loves to run, swim, and play fetch. He deserves a better life than the unfortunate circumstances I am going through right now. I have 3 children I have to worry about and care for while also experiencing homelessness.

Bro needs a home

Border/Heeler/Shepherd mix

Blue needs a home!

This young adult, 1-2 year old, black and white neutered male pit mix loves to play. He has lots of energy and love to give once he feels safe enough. He loves to explore, wrestle, snuggle and to learn. He has been around cats and his dog family member such as his dad or brother. He has been crated with no accidents.

Update: Bro has been in foster care since April 2025 and is thriving.  He loves to play, can be shy initially, crate trained, house broken, walks well on leash, knows sit, go lay down, catches treats in the air, listens well, and has good recall. He talks  for attention.
