Akita pups in need of a home!
Hello good morning my name is Nancy Trueblood for the last four months. I’ve tried to find homes for my two Akita pups. They will be two years old December 21. I have given all their shots to them. I recently moved from 86 acres from Westport to Willits, because of job transfer where I was hoping I could move with them, however where I move to I was unable to move with my dogs. I’ve currently kept them in a kennel for the last three months, which is not humane thing to do. I feed them on a regular basis I clean their kennel weekly. I work two jobs and I currently take care of five grandchildren. I’m in such desperate need to find a good home to them. I’ve tried social media, I've tried all local rescues, I even sat out in front of the store to try to find homes for my two dogs. I would greatly appreciate it if you could help me with finding either a rescue home for them or a place for them to go I would truly truly appreciate it. Thank you!

Sweet, loving energetic girl looking for an active best friend!
Cersei is a roughly 1 1/2 year old spayed and vaccinated terrier mix. Was told she was pitbull but definitely is mixed because she is on the smaller side and has a much more lean build. She’s very energetic and loves to run! She is crate and house trained, knows sit, lay down, “up” she stands on back legs for treats as well as “gentle” to take treats calmly (she’s very treat motivated), she also shakes with both paws but needs work on recall off leash and on the leash she is a puller but she’s just an excited girl! She wants to meet every person and dog she sees as well as smell everything along the way! She’s good with kids but needs work on not getting excited and jumping up. She lives with a cat and just wants to play with her all the time even though the cat isn’t interested, but she’s not aggressive. She hasn’t had a ton of interaction with other dogs besides in passing when on leash but the times she has she has never shown aggression just excitement to make a friend, she just loves to run and play. I recently moved from out in the valley where she had a yard and space to run and play to a small upstairs apartment in town, where unfortunately my downstairs neighbor has constantly made noise complaints to management if she gets the zoomies or so much even runs for a second and hits the floor a little too hard for her liking, which is sad because she’s just a puppy still of course she’s going to be excited and run! So it has gotten to the point where I must move or rehome her, and sadly my daughter and I do not have anywhere else to go. She’s a great dog and doesn’t deserve to have to live confined to this apartment where she has no space to fully run and get out all the the energy she has, let alone be comfortable to enjoy her own home and get excited without fear of us getting evicted over it. She would make an amazing companion for someone with a very active outdoorsy lifestyle or a big yard for her to run all she wants and smell all the smells! She’s swam a few times last summer but she was still pretty young, but I think with more practice she would be great at it. The perfect adventure buddy is ready to find her perfect match of a home!

Zuri!
Zuri is a 6 year old spayed pit bull looking for a forever home. Her family moved to Hawaii and did not take her along with. Zuri is current on her Rabies, parvo, and lepto vaccines. She is current on heartworm/flea/tick prevention. Zuri had heartworm and Lyme disease when I got her 3 months ago and has been treated for both. Her heartworm treatment took 3 months to complete which is why she is only now up for rehoming from me. Zuri is friendly with cats, chickens, and most other dogs. She has gotten along with all but one dog that I’ve had her around (8 dogs she got along with, 1 she did not). The did she did not get along with was a female dog who does have a history of being aggressive to her old housemate but since removing that housemate from the home she had done well with other dogs so I am not sure what the discrepancy was between her and Zuri. Zuri does have some arthritis so she gets joint chews once a day with her breakfast and fish oil at night. She also has environmental allergies which are managed with cytopoint injections from the vet. Otherwise she is a sweet, healthy girl. Zuri is perfectly house trained. She does not beg, does not get on furniture, does not chew/destroy things, she does not get in the trash, she doesn’t jump on you, and she’s potty trained. Zuri is also leash trained and excellent in public. She travels well, she has excellent manners at restaurants and inside stores. She is good on hikes and walks. She does not drag you on a leash or pull on you at all. Zuri LOVES people. If there was one word to use to describe her, it would be polite. She is very very affectionate, she loves to be pet and loved. She is a very nice, well behaved, mellow girl. Zuri is a very sweet dog who deserves a good loving home. I want her to go to someone who will not cut corners on her care and will continue giving her joint chews, fish oil, her heartworm/flea/tick prevention, and the cytopoint injections as needed. This cute boy is a large breed,cane corso/lab mix. He is so good with kids but often forgets his size! He has allergies and is on grain free food. He has chronic ear infections due to getting ahold of food with grain. He is super sweet, somewhat house trained, 100% crate trained. Will not go to the bathroom in his crate unless you ignore his whines letting you know he needs to go out. He loves to run, swim, and play fetch. He deserves a better life than the unfortunate circumstances I am going through right now. I have 3 children I have to worry about and care for while also experiencing homelessness.

This is Kobe just under a year old. Super sweet male, he is fixed. He’s a dog who needs someone around if not all day, majority of the day. He would make a great ranch dog honestly. He likes to keep busy and if he’s not he’ll find something to keep him busy! Shy at first but then super friendly and loving. He likes other animals, dogs or cats. He is around chickens and doesn’t bother them. He does listen to commands. Sit, stay, lay down and shake. He is a skinner dog not sure why we feed him 2 times a day 1 1/2 cups and he can be aggressive with his food. We’ve worked on it since he’s been home with us. It just depends on the day with him. He is crate trained! Besides that he’s a sweetheart who just needs more attention than we can give him.

Poppy is full of energy and love. She will wow you with her bouncy athleticism, intellect and remarkably soft coat. She is up to date on all vaccinations and is spayed, microchipped, and is 4 and a half years old and 43 pounds. I love this dog with my whole heart, but am now managing a disability and feel she may have a better life with a household that can give her a more exercise-intensive lifestyle. She would thrive with several hours of exercise daily (or other activities such as nosework) . She is three working breeds and has the traits of all of them: Border Collie (very intelligent and high energy), English Setter (very interested in birds and loves to be in the water - she is an excellent swimmer), and Great Pyrenees (escape artist). She enjoys snuggling on the couch and sleeping on the bed - when she’s had enough exercise she can be very mellow indoors. She is extremely social with people and does not like to be alone - she would do best with someone who works mostly from home with a large securely fenced area, or maybe a farm. She loves long car rides. She is a sensitive dog - loud noises such as nail guns scare her, and she will benefit from positive reinforcement only (no yelling, physical punishment, or e-collars). She is nervous around other dogs and would do best as the only dog in the household. She does best with people over the age of 12. Poppy seems to have a sense of humor - she is hilarious to watch play and brings us immense joy.

A description on Selvi, he's about 50-60lbs, a sweet boy looking for some good training, I've done the best I can, but I don't have the time needed for it, he's kennel trained 100%, does decent on a leash but has some sensitivities to other dogs down the street, he lives with 4 other dogs that he doesn't seem to have an issue with, he's never been an issue with me when it comes to cats, but I can't say for sure as I only get an hour a day, 4 days a week with him. He's honestly the best dog and I'd take him in a heart beat if I could, but I'm just the dog walker and have 7 of my own puppies that I'm trying to find homes for, but doing this at request of my boss.

Beautiful large female! We rescued injured and pregnant, she had 12 puppies! She is smart, pretty and lovable!! Did not have much training when we found her. Would make a cool agility dog! We have worked with her on the leash. She loves kids people and other dogs has been around cats and livestock. Up-to date on shots. Scheduled to be spayed July 12th.
