Adoptions by Pet Guardians

This service is offered by Humane Society for Inland Mendocino County as part of our free rehoming service. This program has been successful in keeping pets out of shelters and in homes where they belong.  

**Humane Society of Inland Mendocino County accepts no responsibility for the pets posted to this page. Potential adopters are responsible for communicating with the pet's guardian to acquire veterinary records and other necessary information. 

If you need to find a home for a pet you can no longer care for please read and follow these steps: 

PET GUARDIANS: 

• **NOTE:  Your posting will not appear immediately but will be reviewed within 72 hours. Please submit only one request. 
• If/when you rehome your pet, please let us know via email: 

                              - Dogs: rosa@hsimc.org          - Cats: emily@hsimc.org

• Please complete the "Owner and Pet Information" form below, the information and photo you provide will be made available to the public on HSIMC's website.  
• Please include the following information about your pet: pet description, age, spay/neuter status, and any other information that will help in find the right home for your pet.  
• Upload an image of your pet (Individual files cannot exceed 10 MB. If multiple files are uploaded the total cannot exceed 15 MB.)
• Your post will remain on HSIMC's website for 30 days and will automatically be removed unless a request is made to keep the post active. 
• People will contact you directly at the phone # and/or email address you have provided, no website or staff correspondence will occur. 
• Humane Society for Inland Mendocino County encourages spaying and neutering for all pets. For additional support, please visit our Rescue Directory page. 

*If you receive an error message while making a post, please send your contact info, photo, and text to rosa@hsimc.org, and we will post it manually. You should see your post up within 72 hours.
