Ember is an amazing dog who was rescued from the streets of Willits in late January. I stepped in to foster her and was amazed by what a wonderful dog she is. I wish I could keep her but I work beyond full-time and she can't be trusted alone where I live with the chickens. She's so eager to please, intelligent and sensitive = easy to train! I've been able to train her basic commands, but don't have capacity to work with her on the chase drive. I do believe she'd improve with someone who did have the time. She does listen and respond when I am home.
Other than that she's perfect. Playful and fun, as well as quiet and loving. She doesn't bark much and is happy to adapt to whatever you're doing.
Great with other dogs and children, friendly with cats!

Precious is a 1 1/2yr old female mix bread and weights about 65lbs. I got her when she was a few months old. She has not been spay. Precious is a love and lives to play ball. Only Bully toys because she pops regular tennis balls. She is fully potty trained. She is a talker too. She loves kids and would do well with a family. She gets a little excited around other dogs, but only because she wants to play.

Stitch is a full black 2-year-old cat who will be three in September. He loves people, has been around all ages of kids, does well with dogs and cats too. We are having to rehome due to moving into a rental that does not allow animals and husband is dealing with cancer which is resulting in multiple surgeries. We are wanting to find him a loving home that will love him and cuddle with him the way we do.

Little Bear (2+ yrs old) and Jasper (1+ yr old) are very sweet and inseparably bonded together like brothers. They are affectionate, loving, energetic and playful and would make great companions for the right people. Little Bear is extremely smart and Jasper is high-spirited and silly. They both get along well with our 10 year old dog. They are learning commands, and need more training to be housebroken. We’ve taken them to the vet, no abnormalities were found, both are healthy, their vaccinations are now current. Little Bear (Black- with tan) is likely a German Shepherd mix, he is 41 pounds; Jasper (Black- with white) is likely a Siberian Husky mix, he weighs 43 pounds. They have recently been neutered. We took on fostering Little Bear and Jasper in order to get them out of an unsafe situation; unfortunately we are not able to keep them long-term. We are trying to find a forever home for these two adorable pups. If you love dogs, have experience and enjoy training them, and have the time - this could be a good match!

Rex is a two year old Australian cattle dog that was left in Redwood Valley.
Typical of his breed, he needs either a job or a regular disc partner. He is ball crazy and that would do.
He has very high energy drive which makes fir a perfect ball buddy and he hangs out with my cats and my ancient retriever.
He can be mischievous and needs either a fenced yard or acreage.
Rex is highly intelligent and learns quickly.
Four basic command and leash training would make him a perfect companion

Dusty and Tessie are bonded and need to be adopted together. Both are almost two years old and have been altered and vaccinated. Both are quiet, well-behaved, litter box trained and do well with other cats. We are not certain how they would do with dogs and children. Both are shy but with patience and love, they will warm up to you. Dusty is a male longhaired gray and white with an adorable mustache. He is like a big brother to Tessie and the kittens where he used to live. Dusty likes to lay on his human's lap. Tessie is a female short-haired gray tabby with a cute bib and mittens. She is playful and often likes to know what her human is doing! These two would make loving companions.

Goldie, is a 3 year old neutered orange who is up-to-date on his shots. He is good with other cats, and doesn't fight. He knows how to be an inside/outside cat. He is sweet and loves to play! He is not much of a snuggler, but like to chill out with those whom he trusts. Goldie is well-behaved and litter box trained. He would do best with someone who is patient in introducing him to his new surroundings as he is a shy boy. We are asking for a fifty dollar rehoming fee.

She is and quiet and well-behaved and would be perfect as an indoor only kitty. Salsa is a six month old tabby. He is neutered and vaccinated. Salsa loves to play with his "siblings" Forest and Harriet. He likes to play with humans, too. Salsa is pretty independent, bit sometimes He likes cheek scratches. Salsa must be adopted with either Forest or Harriet. Forest is a five month old black shorthair. He is vaccinated and soon to be neutered. Forest is an affectionate bundle of energy. He often sounds like he is breaking down the walls when he plays with Salsa! He likes to lay on your lap and sometimes he likes to be held.

Cyrus is about 2 years old and about 84 lbs. He looks like a Giant Schnauzer/ Bernese Mountain dog mix... really a pretty dog. He is very affectionate, calm around cars, bike riders, people and other dogs and loves to run. I adopted him last April. I don't have a backyard so I am taking him out two or three times a day and just can't keep doing this. I'd like to find a home for him that can provide a yard and maybe even another dog to keep him company. ( He got along well with my son's pug when I had them both.)

Bowie is a 7 month old male yellow lab mix with one blue eye and one green eye. He is not yet neutered. He weighs around 50lbs. He is a loving goofy boy who likes to cuddle and go on walks with his people. He knows how to sit and wait for his food, and he is good at recall when off leash. He was found on a nearby rural road after apparently being dumped. He needs his vaccines and heart worm. But he is on flea and tick medication and has been dewormed. He is healthy happy boy who needs a forever home.

I’m needed to rehome my baby boy due to being told by my apartment manager that I have to have my dogs rehomed because the big boss has been getting complaints from other tenants but only my dogs because of them being a big breed. I hate to do this I wish I was able to get a bigger place for them but unfortunately due to financial difficulties I can’t afford to move. He’s very loving gets jealous with other dogs so rather have him be the only dog. He’s been in a crate most of his life. I can’t walk far with my back issues and can’t have him out during the day in the apartment because my downstairs neighbor complains about everything and anything we do upstairs. He’s 2 years old turn them on Sept 8! He’s a love bug. Has accidents if you don’t rush him to get him out to the bathroom but if not usually good about letting you know he has to go with his dramatic howl. He’s a mix large breed. He’s a brindle color. Not neutered due to financial reasons. But is up to date with his shots! May growl or bark at first but that’s just him having trust issues since he’s not around other people but his own family.

Jax is a mixed breed male that is approximately 65lbs. He was found along with 2 of his siblings in a pullout in Redwood Valley over 6 months ago. He was not in good shape when he was dropped off but over time he has become very happy and healthy. He is very affectionate and loves to play. He is used to being around other dogs and also small children. He was neutered on April 1st, 2024 and is up to date on shots. I have been trying to find him a home with someone I knew so I could continue to see him, but nothing has worked out. At this point I would be happy to find anyone willing to give him a good home. Hello, my name is Chet (or at least that what this family keeps calling me) Its not my name but I can tell they dont know that. They have been super nice and accommodating though, don't get me wrong. Anyway, back to the point. I am here seeking a new family. Back on the 23rd of September, 2024 (was a Monday, as I recall) I was strolling down Eastside Calpella rd in Ukiah, by my lonesome. This nice guy called me over. I obliged, of course, I'm a very good boy. He pet me and I let him take my collar. Then he called this gal out of a house and they leashed me up. I been living with them and their two dogs ever since. So far they have failed to guess my name, or where I came from. My "microchip " has provided zero answers. I'm super friendly and well trained (sit, shake, lay down, the works). Just a big boy in need of more space. I can respect children and small dogs. I'm mature and like my rest after a good play session. I'm pretty chill but like people near by and sometimes try to follow them when they leave. I have a limp in my back right leg that the vet thinks is nerve related. But it really doesn't slow me down, like at all. I chase cats but I'm not sure what to do if I get close. I get along great with this family now, but I really feel like their yard and house are too small for a gentleman such as myself. Like I said before, they are pretty nice and don't want me to get stuck in a shelter. So here we are. Do you want to meet a man like me and see if we might fit together?

Dakota is a beautiful male pit/shepherd/mastiff mix, 1 year and 3 months old. He has an appointment to be neutered on October 9. He is searching for a loving companion to be by his side, cuddle with him, play with him and go for hikes/walks. He loves to play with other dogs, we haven’t see how he interacts with cats yet. He loves to explore so he needs a fenced in area over 4 ft to keep him from hopping out to go on adventures. He is kennel and crate trained. He is used to eating his meals in his crate indoors and sleeping in there and also love to snuggle. He is such a sweetheart, eager to please and just wants to be apart of a new loving family. He loves the beach, playing with squeaky toys and balls. Dakota can be cautious of strangers especially if they are wearing hats, but listens well and walks well on a leash with a prong collar. Please help us find the perfect loving family or person for Dakota! Thank you!

Tucker is a one-year-old fixed and fully vaxed Border Collie, and Blue Tick Hound. He is incredibly smart and fully potty trained, and we have recently "button trained" him to let you know when he needs to go outside. Again, he is incredibly smart. He is an anxious boy and prefers to stick to his one person and it takes a bit of convincing from any new face. He's played with both big and little dogs and indoor cats, but loves chasing after cats outside ( I think he wants to race.) He doesn't like to be alone and definitely needs some help with his anxiety about it. He loves to dig and is full of "zoomies". He overall is a very loving and loyal companion, who I hope can find his forever person.

Meet Rolex, an 18 lb bundle of love and resilience. This charming 8-yr-old mixed breed, has endured the heartbreaking loss of his lifetime owner last December. Rolex's journey has been tough; his owner’s battle with polio meant limited social interactions, leaving him anxious and reserved. Rolex needs a quiet, stable environment where he can form a deep bond with his special human. Imagine a loyal companion who loves sitting on your lap, chasing a ball, performing tricks for treats and napping. Despite his past, Rolex has much love to give and will thrive in a home that offers him patience and understanding. His separation anxiety means he needs a home without other pets and a person who is home often, offering him the sense of security he desperately needs. If your life is quiet and your heart is open, Rolex is the pup for you. Give him the chance he deserves, and in return, he'll give you unconditional love. Rolex is waiting for you–his perfect, patient, and loving human.

This beautiful dog was found in a rural area. We have too many dogs or would keep her. She is probably 4 to 6 months old. She gets along with other dogs but is not a wimp, she will defend herself with diplomacy. She tolerates cats but is interested in chasing all other small animals. She will rid your area of all pests. She accepts "medical attention" willingly. There will be no trouble probing her feet ears etc for foxtails. Cleaning her teeth and other grooming tasks will be well tolerated. She is comfortable in a crate even with the door closed. She is perfectly happy being outside over night or sleeping in the bed with the other dogs. She is just a great all around dog. I wish we had room for her.

This handsome boy is about 18-24 months old he's a sweet gentle soul. Great with other dogs. Very shy and timid around people and takes several months to acclimate to his new home. His breed is Malinois, Belgian/mixed, he's been neutered, fully vaccinated, licensed and is microchiped. He is with a foster family, attached and safe but really needs a farm where he has more room and can have a job rounding up other farm animals. He responds well to gentle voices and doesn't like yelling or other aggressive behavior. He responds to very few verbal commands, but knows back, come, and shake and very treat motivated. He also Ioves to hold hands/paws. He was my son's dog but wasn't happy in a small apt. And didn't like walks around the neighborhood. He doesn't like a lot of people or traffic so we offered to foster him till we could find a good home for him. He will choose one or two people who make him feel safe to be his people and with visitors he will typically disappear once he checks them out, until they leave. He likes his crate, he prefers to be outside but we coaxed him inside during the cold months and adjusted to his crate as well as sharing a bed with his friend but once it got warmer he prefers to be outside. He still comes in to say hi and hild hands for a few minutes. He would be happy with a warm dry outdoor kennel. He's happy and safe and loved but gets bored and chews up plastic, wood and rubber and tears the stuffing and squeakers out of all the toys, pillows, beds etc. I don't have enough room for him and don't have the energy or space to add any more animals to give him enough work to prevent him from getting bored. He would be a wonderful addition to any farm with cows, horses, chickens and other pets. I hope to find him a good farm/ranch where he will have a lot of jobs to do and be loved as much as we love him.

Phoenix was abandoned at a condemned home along with his female partner. A neighbor confirmed they were there approximately 4 months and proceeded to have a litter of 8 puppies. Phoenix and his family were lucky to have been found by a passerby and all the dog family besides Phoenix have found a home. Phoenix has been completely vetted. The vet estimates he is 4 years old. He has since been neutered, vaccinated (including rabies), flea treated, microchipped, and put on heart worm preventative. That being said, Phoenix did test positive for heart worm, but he has a good prognosis and very minimal care required to complete his heart worm treatment. Finder is willing to cover preventative for the next 4 months, as well as follow up heart worm recheck. Phoenix deserves the best. He is an absolutely sweet sweet boy who loves everybody. He's great with people, other dogs, cats (he might chase but he listens to no chase), he's wonderful to walk on a leash, comes when called. Without a doubt, his adopter won't have any regrets. He's the perfect derpy dog and will be forever grateful for a home to call his own.

Happy dog was found starving and pregnant on the side of the highway, She was not claimed by an owner. She has had her puppies and is looking for her forever home. She is currently not fixed but we are willing to help with that. She is an older dog that has had litters before this and looks to be maybe 5 or 6 years but it’s hard to tell. She is so loving and just wants to sit by your chair and watch TV., she adores women, children and calm men. We call her Happy Dog because since we put that scared starving dog in the car she has been nothing but “Happy”. Happy has an old rear leg injury that does not limit her at all. She just sits funny and gets tired if she runs too much. She needs a patient home with a secure yard with No cats and No livestock. She is learning to walk on a leash nicely and has been non aggressive to other dogs. She is a great watch dog, and does not bark excessively. She loves children and has been very good around our two boys. Happy can’t stay here because we have cats and livestock, she needs a chance at a loving quiet home!
